It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever says these ten phrases one thousand times on this night of Arafah, Allah Almighty will grant him whatever he asks Allah Almighty for, provided it is not the severing of family ties or something sinful: 'Subhanal-ladhi fis-sama'i 'arshuh' (Glory be to the One whose Throne is in the heaven), 'Subhanal-ladhi fil-ardi mawti'uh' (Glory be to the One whose rule is in the earth), 'Subhanal-ladhi fil-bahri sabiluh' (Glory be to the One whose way is in the sea), 'Subhanal-ladhi fin-nari sultanuh' (Glory be to the One whose might and power are in the Fire), 'Subhanal-ladhi fil-jannati rahmatuh' (Glory be to the One whose mercy is in Paradise), 'Subhanal-ladhi fil-quburi qada'uh' (Glory be to the One whose decree is carried out in the graves), 'Subhanal-ladhi fil-hawa'i ni'matuh' (Glory be to the One whose blessing is in the air), 'Subhanal-ladhi rafa'as-sama'' (Glory be to the One who raised the heaven), cf. "And the heaven He raised" (Surah al-Rahman: 7), 'Subhanal-ladhi wada'al-ard' (Glory be to the One who spread out the earth), cf. "And the earth He laid out for the creatures" (Surah al-Rahman: 10), and 'Subhanal-ladhi la manja minhu illa ilayh' (Glory be to the One from whose grip there is no place of escape and refuge except in His own presence)."
