قَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ : حَدَّثَنَا فُضَيْلٌ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ عُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ : يَا أَهْلَ مَكَّةَ ، لَا تَتَّخِذُوا عَلَى دُورِكُمْ أَبْوَابًا لِيَنْزِلِ الْبَادِي حَيْثُ شَاءَ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that, addressing the residents of Makkah, he said: "O people of Makkah! Do not fit doors on your houses, so that the desert dwellers and travellers coming from outside may stay wherever they wish (without hindrance)."
