وَقَالَ الْحَارِثُ : حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ الْمُحَبَّرِ ، ثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : هَذَا الْبَيْتُ دِعَامَةُ الْإِسْلَامِ ، مَنْ خَرَجَ يَؤُمُّ هَذَا الْبَيْتَ مِنْ حَاجٍّ ، أَوْ مُعْتَمِرٍ ، أَوْ زَائِرٍ ، كَانَ مَضْمُونًا عَلَى اللهِ إِنْ قَبَضَهُ أَنْ يُدْخِلَهُ الْجَنَّةَ ، وَإِنْ رَدَّهُ رَدَّهُ بِغَنِيمَةٍ وَأَجْرٍ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This House of Allah is the fundamental pillar of Islam. So whoever sets out towards this House as one performing Hajj or Umrah, or merely intending a visit (for the pleasure of Allah), is under the responsibility and guarantee of Allah Almighty: if Allah takes his soul, He will admit him into Paradise; and if He returns him safe and sound, He will return him with reward and spoils."
