وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا عُقْبَةُ بْنُ مُكْرَمٍ ، ثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أُسَامَةَ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ أُسَامَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ إِذَا أَفْطَرَ أَصْبَحَ مِنَ الْغَدِ صَائِمًا مِنْ شَوَّالٍ ، حَتَّى يَتِمَّ عَلَى آخِرِهِ .
Imam Abu Ya'la (may Allah have mercy on him) narrated through his chain that it is narrated from Sayyiduna Usamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that when he had broken his fast (on the day of Eid after the month of Ramadan), he would begin the fasts of Shawwal from the very next day, until he completed them to their end.
