Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Jibril came to me with a white mirror in his hand, in which there was a black spot. I asked: 'O Jibril, what is this?' He said: 'This is Friday (Jumu'ah), which your Lord has presented to you so that it may be a festival (Eid) for you and for your nation after you. You will be first, and the Jews and the Christians will come after you.' The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: 'What is there in it for us?' Sayyiduna Jibril (peace be upon him) said: 'For you there is good in it. For you there is a particular hour in it: whoever supplicates to Allah Almighty in that hour for something good that is in his destiny, Allah Almighty will grant it to him; and if that thing is not in his destiny, Allah Almighty will keep that supplication safe for the time when he will need it more. Or if that person seeks refuge with Allah Almighty in that hour from some evil that is in his destiny, Allah Almighty will protect him from an even greater evil.' I asked: 'What is the black spot in it?' Jibril said: 'This is the Hour, which will be established on Friday. With us it is the chief of all days, and in the Hereafter we call it "the Day of More".' The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) says: I asked: 'Why do you call it "the Day of More"?' Sayyiduna Jibril said: 'Your Lord has made a valley in Paradise which is full of musk and white in colour. When Friday comes, your Lord will descend from Illiyyin onto the Kursi. Around that Kursi there will be pulpits made of light, and the Prophets will come and sit on them. Then around those pulpits there will be chairs made of gold, and the truthful ones (siddiqin) and the martyrs will come and sit on them. Then the people of Paradise will come and sit on the mounds. Then their Lord will manifest Himself to them and they will behold their Lord. The Lord will say: "I am the One who fulfilled My promise to you truly and completed My favour upon you. This is the abode of the honour I have bestowed; so ask of Me." They will ask Him for His good pleasure. Allah Almighty will say: "It is because of My good pleasure that I have settled you in this abode of Mine and granted you this honour; so ask something of Me." The people will ask of Him until their desires come to an end. Then the Lord will open before them that which no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and which has never occurred to any human heart, and this will continue until the time when people return on Friday. Then the Lord will ascend upon His Kursi, and the martyrs and the truthful ones will go up with Him.' The narrator says: I think the narration contains these words: 'The people of the upper chambers will return to their chambers, which will be made of white pearl, in which there is no break or crack, or of red ruby, or of green chrysolite. From them are their chambers, and their doors will be open; in them will be rivers, and fruits will be hanging down; in it will be their wives and their servants. These people will not need anything more than Friday, because on that day their honour will increase, and because on that day they will see their Lord more. For this reason that day is called "the Day of More".'"
Imam al-Bazzar recorded it, Imam al-Tabarani recorded something similar in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and Imam Abu Ya'la recorded it in abridged form. The narrators of Abu Ya'la are the narrators of the Sahih. In one of al-Tabarani's two chains, the narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except Abd al-Rahman bin Thabit bin Thawban, whom more than one scholar declared trustworthy while others declared him da'if (weak). The chain of al-Bazzar contains narrators about whom there is disagreement.

Sayyiduna Hudhayfah bin al-Yaman (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Jibril came to me, and in his hand was something like a mirror, in the middle of which there was a black mark. I asked: 'O Jibril, what is this?' He said: 'This is the world, its purity and its beauty.' I asked: 'What is this black mark?' He said: 'This is Friday (Jumu'ah).' I asked: 'What is Friday?' He said: 'It is a great day among the days of your Lord.' Then he mentioned its honour, its virtue and its name in the Hereafter: when Allah Almighty sends the people of Paradise to Paradise and the people of Hell to Hell, there will be no night or day there (as in this world), and Allah Almighty will know the measure of those hours. When Friday comes, at the time of Jumu'ah (prayer) when the people of Jumu'ah go out to their Jumu'ah prayer, a caller will announce: 'O people of Paradise, go out to "the Abode of More"!' So they will go out onto mounds of musk." Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: By Allah, they will be whiter than this flour of yours. "The Prophets will come and sit on pulpits made of light, and the believers on chairs made of ruby. When they have sat down and the people have taken their places, Allah Almighty will send a wind called al-Muthirah (the Stirrer), which will scatter white musk over them; it will enter inside their garments and come out of their collars. No one will know more about that fragrance than the wife of one of you, if the perfume of the people of this world were given to her. Allah Almighty will say: 'Where are My servants who obeyed Me unseen and affirmed the truth of My messengers? This is the Day of More.' Then they will all agree on one statement (that is, they will all say together): 'We are indeed pleased; so be pleased with us.' Allah Almighty will say to them: 'O people of Paradise, had I not been pleased with you, I would not have settled you in My Paradise. This is the Day of More; so ask of Me.' Then they will all say one and the same thing: 'Show us Your Face, so that we may behold You.'" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) says: "Then Allah Almighty will remove the veils, manifest Himself to them and envelop them with His light. Had it not been decreed by Allah Almighty that they will not die, they would have been burned. Then it will be said to them: 'Return to your dwellings.' They will return, and they will be hidden from their wives and their wives will be hidden from them, because the light of Allah Almighty will have enveloped them. That light will remain upon them until they return to their former state (here the narrator is in doubt about one word). Their wives will say to them: 'When you left us your appearance was different, and now it has changed.' They will say: 'Our Lord manifested Himself to us, and we have seen that which remained hidden from you.'" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) says: "So every seven days they will be turned about in the musk of Paradise and its blessings."
Imam al-Bazzar recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, al-Qasim bin Mutayyab, who is matruk (abandoned).

Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: When the people of Paradise have entered Paradise, Allah Almighty will say: "O My servants, do you ask anything of Me, so that I may give you more?" They will say: "O our Lord, what could be better than what You have given us?" The Lord will say: "My good pleasure is the greatest." He narrated this as a marfu' hadith, attributing it to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Abdullah bin Muhammad bin al-Mughirah, who is matruk (abandoned).
