Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A Bedouin came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "In Paradise, will we make our clothes with our own hands?" The Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) laughed at this. The Bedouin said: "What are you people laughing at, when an ignorant person is asking a scholar?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Bedouin! You have spoken rightly, but they are fruits" (perhaps meaning that in Paradise clothes will grow on trees).
Abu Ya'la and al-Bazzar recorded it, although he (al-Bazzar) recorded these words: "The Bedouin said: 'What are you people laughing at? At an ignorant man asking a scholar?' The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'No! Rather they will be created in a special way (the narrator is in doubt, or perhaps the words are) the fruits of the people of Paradise will split open to bring them forth.'" Al-Tabarani also recorded this narration in al-Mu'jam al-Saghir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, although he recorded these words: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "What are you people laughing at? At an ignorant man asking a scholar? No, O Bedouin! Rather the fruits of Paradise will split open to bring them forth." The narrators of Abu Ya'la and al-Tabarani are the narrators of the Sahih except Mujalid bin Sa'id, whose case is different, and he has been declared thiqah (trustworthy).

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Another man stood up and said: "O Messenger of Allah! Tell us about the clothes of the people of Paradise: have they already been made, or will they be woven?" Some of those present laughed. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "What are you people laughing at? At an ignorant man asking a scholar? Where is the man who asked the question?" He said: "Here I am, O Messenger of Allah!" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The fruits of Paradise will split open to bring them forth."
Al-Bazzar recorded it within a long hadith, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
