بَابٌ فِيمَنْ لَا صَبْوَةَ لَهُ ، وَمَنْ يَنْشَأُ فِي الْعِبَادَةِ .

عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ - عَزَّ وَجَلَّ - لَيَعْجَبُ مِنَ الشَّابِّ لَيْسَتْ لَهُ صَبْوَةٌ " . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَأَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ .
Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah Almighty is pleased with a young man who has no inclination towards frivolity and amusement."
Imam Ahmad, Imam Abu Ya'la and Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration, and its chain is hasan (good).

وَعَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " مَا مِنْ نَاشِئٍ يَنْشَأُ فِي الْعِبَادَةِ حَتَّى يُدْرِكَهُ الْمَوْتُ ، إِلَّا أَعْطَاهُ اللَّهُ أَجْرَ تِسْعَةٍ وَتِسْعِينَ صِدِّيقًا " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَالْكَبِيرِ بِنَحْوِهِ ، وَفِيهِ يُوسُفُ بْنُ عَطِيَّةَ الصَّفَّارُ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ جِدًّا .
Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever grows up in worship until death comes to him, Allah Almighty will grant him the reward of ninety-nine siddiqs (truthful ones)."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and something similar in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, Yusuf bin Atiyyah al-Saffar, who is extremely da'if (weak).
