Sayyiduna Hudhayfah said: After the tents that were pitched with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) at Badr, through which protection was given, there is no tent more protected than the people of these tents. Whoever intends evil against them, Allah Almighty will afflict him with a situation that will turn his attention away from them.

Hadith Takhrij«اخرجه البزار فى المسند (3854) اخرجه احمد فى المسند (384/5) ، أخرجه مسند أحمد برقم: 22755»
In one narration the words are: "He said: 'O company of Arabs! Today you are committing certain matters which, had they occurred in the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), would have been counted as hypocrisy.'"
Ahmad recorded it, and al-Bazzar recorded something similar in abridged form, with these words: "Allah Almighty will afflict them with a situation that will keep them occupied." And in al-Bazzar's narration these words are recorded: "What is meant by this is Kufah." Al-Tabarani recorded in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat these words: "What is meant by the people of these tents is Kufah." The narrators of Ahmad and al-Bazzar are thiqat (trustworthy).
