Al-Hasan narrates: Sayyiduna Qays bin Asim al-Minqari (may Allah be pleased with him) told me: I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and when he saw me, I heard him say: "This is the chief of the camel-owning people."
Al-Tabarani and al-Bazzar recorded it. Al-Tabarani's chain contains a narrator, Ziyad bin Abi Ziyad al-Jassas; Ibn Hibban declared him thiqah (trustworthy) and said: He makes mistakes; the majority declared him da'if (weak). Al-Bazzar's chain contains a narrator, al-Qasim bin Mutayyab, who is matruk (abandoned).

Sayyiduna Qays bin Asim (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that he came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered him to take a ritual bath (ghusl) with water and lote-tree leaves. Then the prayer was established, and he came and stood between Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). When the prayer was completed, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Qays bin Asim asked me about three words; no one else has asked me about those words, except Abu Bakr.
Allamah al-Haythami says: I say: The account of his taking the bath was narrated by Abu Dawud and others.
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Yahya al-Himmani, who is da'if (weak).
