Hassan, the freed slave of Sayyiduna Malik bin Abdullah al-Khath'ami (may Allah be pleased with him), narrates: Sayyiduna Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) was one of the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He narrates: I saw Sayyiduna Malik bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) performing ablution (wudu), and on a vein of his shin the word "Allah" was written. I began to look at it closely, so he said: What are you looking at? No scribe wrote this.
Al-Tabarani recorded it. As for the narrator Hassan and Abu Salamah, who narrates from him, I do not know either of them; the rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
