Among the names of those from the Ansar who took part in the Pledge of Aqabah, Ibn Shihab mentioned Sayyiduna Abu al-Haytham (may Allah be pleased with him), and he was a naqib (chief representative).
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it as a mursal report, and its chain is hasan (good). (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: Earlier, in the chapter on the Battle of Badr, the hadith has already passed that he also took part in the Battle of Badr.
