عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " رَحِمَ اللَّهُ أَخِي عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ رَوَاحَةَ ، كَانَ أَيْنَمَا أَدْرَكَتْهُ الصَّلَاةُ أَنَاخَ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "May Allah Almighty have mercy on my brother Abdullah bin Rawahah! Wherever the time of prayer came upon him, he would make his mount kneel down."

وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ : أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - جَلَسَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ ، فَلَمَّا جَلَسَ قَالَ : " اجْلِسُوا " . فَسَمِعَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ رَوَاحَةَ قَوْلَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " اجْلِسُوا " . فَجَلَسَ فِي بَنِي غُنْمٍ ، قِيلَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، ذَاكَ ابْنُ رَوَاحَةَ جَالِسٌ فِي بَنِي غُنْمٍ ; سَمِعَكَ وَأَنْتَ تَقُولُ لِلنَّاسِ : " اجْلِسُوا " . فَجَلَسَ فِي مَكَانِهِ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ مَجْمَعٍ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyidah Aishah al-Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: On the day of Friday the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sat on the pulpit, and when he had sat down he said: "Sit down!" Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Rawahah (may Allah be pleased with him) heard this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), "Sit down", and so he sat down among Banu Ghanm. It was said: "O Messenger of Allah! Sayyiduna Ibn Rawahah (may Allah be pleased with him) has sat down over there among Banu Ghanm; he heard you telling the people, 'Sit down!', so he sat down in that very place."
