عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ لِعَقِيلِ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ : " يَا أَبَا يَزِيدَ ، إِنِّي أُحِبُّكَ حُبَّيْنِ : حُبًّا لِقَرَابَتِكَ ، وَحُبًّا لِمَا كُنْتُ أَعْلَمُ مِنْ حُبِّ عَمِّي إِيَّاكَ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ مُرْسَلًا ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .
Abu Ishaq says: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Sayyiduna Aqil bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him): "O Abu Yazid! I love you for two reasons: one love is because of your kinship with me, and the other love is because I know that my uncle loved you."
Al-Tabarani recorded it as a mursal report, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).

قَالَ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ : وَقَدْ حَضَرَ فَتْحَ خَيْبَرَ ، وَقَسَمَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - مِنْ خَيْبَرَ .
Imam al-Tabarani says: He took part in the conquest of Khaybar, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) allotted him a share of the spoils of Khaybar.
