بَابٌ فِيمَنْ يَقُومُ بِالْمُسْلِمِينَ مَقَامَ رِيَاءٍ وَسُمْعَةٍ

عَنْ أَبِي هِنْدٍ الدَّارِيِّ قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ : " مَنْ قَامَ بِأَخِيهِ مَقَامَ رِيَاءٍ وَسُمْعَةٍ ، أَقَامَهُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَسَمَّعَ بِهِ " . رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Abu Hind al-Dari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever takes a stand against his brother for the sake of showing off and fame, Allah Almighty will make him stand on the Day of Resurrection and will expose (his desire for) fame."

وَعَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ يَقُومُ فِي الدُّنْيَا مَقَامَ رِيَاءٍ وَسُمْعَةٍ ، إِلَّا سَمَّعَ اللَّهُ بِهِ عَلَى رُءُوسِ الْخَلَائِقِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " . رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَفِيهِ مَنْ لَمْ أَعْرِفْهُمْ . قُلْتُ : وَتَأْتِي أَحَادِيثُ نَحْوَ هَذَا فِي بَابِ الرِّيَاءِ .
Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Any servant who takes a stand in this world for the sake of showing off and fame, Allah Almighty will expose his desire for fame before all of creation on the Day of Resurrection."
