Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah Almighty recited Surah Ta Ha and Surah Ya Sin one thousand years before the creation of Sayyiduna Adam (peace be upon him). When the angels heard the Qur'an, they said: 'Glad tidings to the Ummah upon whom this will be revealed; glad tidings to the minds in which its knowledge will dwell; and glad tidings to the tongues that will recite it.'"
Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Ibrahim bin Muhajir bin Mismar, whom Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) declared da'if (weak) on account of this hadith, while Yahya bin Ma'in declared him thiqah (trustworthy).
