Book of Tafsir
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى : إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ سَيَجْعَلُ لَهُمُ الرَّحْمَنُ وُدًّا .
The words of Allah the Exalted: "Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds, the Most Merciful will appoint for them affection"

عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ : نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ سَيَجْعَلُ لَهُمُ الرَّحْمَنُ وُدًّا قَالَ : مَحَبَّةً فِي قُلُوبِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَالْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ بِشْرُ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated: This verse was revealed: "Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds, the Most Merciful will appoint for them affection." Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: That is, He will place love (for them) in the hearts of the believers.
Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat and al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains Bishr bin Umarah, who is da'if (weak).
