Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "I marvel at the patience and noble character of my brother Sayyiduna Yusuf (peace be upon him), may Allah Almighty forgive him. When a message was sent to him so that he would interpret the dream, had I been there, I would not have done it until I had first been brought out. And I marvel at his patience and noble character, may Allah Almighty forgive him: when the message came to take him out, he did not come out until he had informed them of his innocence, whereas had it been me, I would have rushed to the door. And had it not been for that word, he would not have remained in the prison, when he sought relief from a servant other than Allah and said: 'Mention me before your master.'"
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it, and its chain contains a narrator, Ibrahim bin Yazid al-Qurashi al-Makki, and he is matruk (abandoned).

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) concerning this saying of Allah Almighty, which is about the messenger: "What is the matter with the women who cut their hands?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) says: "Had it been me, I would have hastened to respond and would not have looked for an excuse."
(Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: From this Companion there is a hadith mentioned in the "Sahih" other than this narration.
Imam Ahmad recorded it. Its chain contains a narrator, Muhammad bin Amr, and he is hasan al-hadith (good in hadith).
