Sayyidah Aishah Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: On the occasion of the Battle of Khaybar, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said at al-Ji'ranah: "Ten things are permissible for the Muslims during war: honey, water, raisins, vinegar, salt, earth, stones, and wood as long as it has not been carved (or shaped), fresh hides, and the food that is taken out from there."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, Abu Salamah al-Amili, who is matruk (abandoned).

Khalid bin Umayr narrates: We went on a campaign with Sayyiduna Utbah bin Ghazwan (may Allah be pleased with him) and conquered al-Ubullah (a city). There was a boat there containing walnuts. We said: "We have never seen stones more evenly shaped than these." Then he took a walnut, broke it and ate it, and said: "This is rich and oily." So we too began breaking them and eating.
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
