Abdullah bin Buraydah narrates: I went with my father to visit Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him). He seated us on a carpet, then food was brought and we ate it, then a drink was brought. Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) drank it and then passed it to my father, who said: "I have not drunk it since the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) declared it unlawful." Then Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "I was the most handsome of the young men of Quraysh and the one with the finest teeth, and when I was young I did not find delight in anything as much as I found delight in milk, and in a person (whose company I enjoyed) who spoke well when conversing with me."
Ahmad recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih. In the words of Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) there was something which I have left out.

Muslim bin Jundub narrates: I went with Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) to Ibn Muti'. Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "Peace be upon you." He replied: "And upon you be peace and the mercy of Allah Almighty. Welcome to you, O Abu Abd al-Rahman!" (Then he said to his servants:) "Place a cushion for him." Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "Had I not heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'Three things are not to be refused: milk, a cushion and oil,' I would not have sat on it."
Al-Tabarani recorded it.
