Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When food is placed before one of you while he has sandals on his feet, he should take off his sandals, for that is more restful for the feet."
Al-Bazzar and Abu Ya'la recorded it, and Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and his wording is (as in the next narration).

"When you eat food, take off your sandals, for that is more restful for your feet." Tabarani's narrators are thiqat (trustworthy), except for Uqbah bin Khalid al-Sakuni: I have not found any report that he heard from Muhammad bin al-Harith.

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Washing (wudu) before food and after it is among the things that remove poverty, and it is one of the practices of the Messengers."
Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains Nahshal bin Sa'id, and he is matruk (abandoned).
