Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: Sunday is a day of weddings and of setting up home; Monday is a day of travel; Tuesday is a day of blood; Wednesday is a day of taking, not a day of giving; Thursday is a day of going in to the ruler; and Friday is a day of marriage.
Imam Abu Ya'la recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Yahya bin al-Ala', and he is matruk (abandoned).

Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever offers the Friday prayer, having fasted that day, visited a sick person, attended a funeral and attended a marriage, Paradise becomes obligatory for him."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Muhammad bin Hafs al-Awsabi, and he is da'if (weak).
