Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) issued the order to expel Banu al-Nadir from Madinah, some of them came to him and said: "We have debts owed to us by people whose time has not yet come." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Forgo part of it and take (the rest) early."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Muslim bin Khalid al-Zanji, who is da'if (weak), although he has also been declared trustworthy.

A hadith from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) has already passed: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade certain things, and among them he mentioned that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade selling a deferred payment for an early payment. The narrator explained: Selling a deferred payment for an early payment means that a man owes a thousand dirhams, and then he says: "I will give you five hundred early, and you let go of the rest." He mentioned this. The chain of this report contains a narrator, Musa bin Ubaydah al-Rabadhi, and
this report (or this narrator) is also in al-Bazzar.

Abu al-Mu'arik narrates: A man from Ghafiq was owed one hundred dinars by a man from the tribe of Mahrah; this was in the time of Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him). They obtained good spoils, and the Mahri said: "I will pay you seventy dinars right away on condition that you erase the record of the hundred from me (that is, let go of the rest)," although the hundred was due to be paid later. The Ghafiqi agreed to this. Sayyiduna al-Miqdad (may Allah be pleased with him) passed by the two of them, and the man took hold of the reins of his mount in order to make him a witness. When he narrated the whole incident to him, he said: "Both of you have declared war against Allah and His Messenger (that is, you have attempted a transaction of usury (riba))."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; I do not know Abu al-Mu'arik, and the remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).
