عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - كَانَ يَخْطُبُ بِمِخْصَرَةٍ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْبَزَّارُ ، وَفِيهِ ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ وَفِيهِ كَلَامٌ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin al-Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to deliver the sermon (leaning) on a staff.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and Imam al-Bazzar also recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Ibn Lahi'ah, about whom there is criticism.

وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - كَانَ يَخْطُبُهُمْ فِي السَّفَرِ مُتَّكِئًا عَلَى قَوْسٍ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَفِيهِ أَبُو شَيْبَةَ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: During journeys, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to deliver the sermon to the people while leaning on a bow.

وَعَنْ سَعْدٍ الْقَرَظِ مُؤَذِّنِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - كَانَ إِذَا خَطَبَ فِي الْجُمُعَةِ خَطَبَ عَلَى عَصًا .
قُلْتُ : ذَكَرَ هَذَا فِي أَثْنَاءِ حَدِيثٍ طَوِيلٍ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَإِسْنَادُهُ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Sa'd al-Qaraz (may Allah be pleased with him), the mu'adhdhin of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), narrates: When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) delivered the sermon on Friday, he would deliver it leaning on a staff. (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: He mentioned this in the course of a long hadith.
