Abu Harun narrates: We asked Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him): "Do you remember anything from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite after giving the salam?" He said: "Yes. He (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite: 'Glorified is your Lord, the Lord of might, above what they describe. And peace be upon the messengers, and all praise is for Allah, the Lord of all the worlds.'"
Abu Ya'la recorded it, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy). (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: I have mentioned this chapter here only to draw attention to the adhkar and supplications that will come later, which are recited after the prayer or at other times, if Allah wills (they will come later).

Sayyiduna Abu Umamah al-Bahili (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When the prayer is established, the gates of the heaven are opened and supplication is answered. When the one finishing the prayer finishes and does not say: 'O Allah, save me from Hell, admit me into Paradise and marry me to the wide-eyed maidens (hur al-'in),' Hell says: 'Woe to this man! Was he unable to seek refuge with Allah Almighty from Hell?' And Paradise says: 'Woe to this man! Was he unable to ask Allah Almighty for Paradise?' And the wide-eyed maidens say: 'Was this man unable to supplicate to Allah Almighty to marry him to the wide-eyed maidens?'"
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains Muhammad bin Mihsan al-Ukkashi, who is matruk (abandoned).
