Sayyiduna Ismah (may Allah be pleased with him) relates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to begin the recitation with "All praise belongs to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds." Sayyiduna Abu Bakr, Sayyiduna Umar and Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with them) (also used to do the same).
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains al-Fadl bin al-Khiyar, who is a liar (kadhdhab).
