Sayyiduna Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came out, whichever of his Companions he saw, he would pass his hand over his face and pray for him. The narrator says: One day he (peace and blessings be upon him) came out and Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) appeared before him, but Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) moved aside without meeting him. Then, when he came to him, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "O Hudhayfah! I saw you, but then you turned away?" He replied: "The reason was that I was in a state of major ritual impurity (janabah)." So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A Muslim does not become impure."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and apart from al-Tabarani's teacher, all its narrators are the narrators of the "Sahih".

Ibn Jurayj narrates: I was informed that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) used to warm himself in winter by holding his wife close, while she was in a state of major ritual impurity (janabah) and Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) had already taken the ritual bath (ghusl); likewise in summer he would cool himself by means of her, while both of them were in that same state.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and its chain is munqati' (broken).
