بَابُ الْوُضُوءِ بِالْمَاءِ الْمُسَخَّنِ .

عَنْ سَلَمَةَ - يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْأَكْوَعِ - أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُسَخَّنُ لَهُ الْمَاءُ فَيَتَوَضَّأُ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ ، إِلَّا إِنِّي لَمْ أَعْرِفْ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ يُونُسَ شَيْخَ الطَّبَرَانِيِّ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ ، إِلَّا إِنِّي لَمْ أَعْرِفْ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ يُونُسَ شَيْخَ الطَّبَرَانِيِّ .
It is reported about Sayyiduna Salamah bin al-Akwa' (may Allah be pleased with him) that water used to be heated for him, and he would perform ablution (with that heated water).
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy), except that I (that is, Allamah al-Haythami) do not know Muhammad bin Yunus, who is Imam al-Tabarani's teacher.

وَعَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ قَالَ : كَانَ أَبُو رَفَاعَةَ يُسَخِّنُ الْمَاءَ لِأَصْحَابِهِ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ : أَحْسِنُوا الْوُضُوءَ مِنْ هَذَا ، فَسَأُحْسِنُ مِنْ هَذَا ، فَيَتَوَضَّأُ بِالْمَاءِ الْبَارِدِ .

Humayd bin Hilal narrates: Sayyiduna Abu Rifa'ah (may Allah be pleased with him) used to heat water for his companions and would then say: Perform ablution well with this; I shall perform it even better than this. (The narrator says:) And then he himself would perform ablution with cold water.
