بَابُ لَا إِيمَانَ لِمَنْ لَا أَمَانَةَ لَهُ .

عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ : مَا خَطَبَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - إِلَّا قَالَ : " لَا إِيمَانَ لِمَنْ لَا أَمَانَةَ لَهُ ، وَلَا دِينَ لِمَنْ لَا عَهْدَ لَهُ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَأَبُو يَعْلَى وَالْبَزَّارُ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ أَبُو هِلَالٍ ، وَثَّقَهُ ابْنُ مَعِينٍ وَغَيْرُهُ ، وَضَعَّفَهُ النَّسَائِيُّ وَغَيْرُهُ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَأَبُو يَعْلَى وَالْبَزَّارُ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ أَبُو هِلَالٍ ، وَثَّقَهُ ابْنُ مَعِينٍ وَغَيْرُهُ ، وَضَعَّفَهُ النَّسَائِيُّ وَغَيْرُهُ .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) states: Whenever the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) addressed us, he (peace and blessings be upon him) would say: "There is no faith for one who has no trustworthiness, and there is no religion for one who has no (keeping of) covenant (that is, who is not trustworthy and does not honour his covenant)."
Imam Ahmad, Imam Abu Ya'la, Imam al-Bazzar and al-Tabarani (in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat) recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Abu Hilal, whom Yahya bin Ma'in and others declared thiqah (trustworthy), while Imam al-Nasa'i (may Allah have mercy on him) and others declared him da'if (weak).
Imam Ahmad, Imam Abu Ya'la, Imam al-Bazzar and al-Tabarani (in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat) recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Abu Hilal, whom Yahya bin Ma'in and others declared thiqah (trustworthy), while Imam al-Nasa'i (may Allah have mercy on him) and others declared him da'if (weak).
وَعَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا إِيمَانَ لِمَنْ لَا أَمَانَةَ لَهُ ، وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَا تَدْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ حَتَّى تُؤْمِنُوا " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَلَهُ فِي رِوَايَةٍ أُخْرَى عَنْهُ : " لَا دِينَ لِمَنْ لَا أَمَانَةَ لَهُ " . وَفِيهِ الْقَاسِمُ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ عِنْدَ الْأَكْثَرِينَ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَلَهُ فِي رِوَايَةٍ أُخْرَى عَنْهُ : " لَا دِينَ لِمَنْ لَا أَمَانَةَ لَهُ " . وَفِيهِ الْقَاسِمُ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ عِنْدَ الْأَكْثَرِينَ .
Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no faith for one who has no trustworthiness. By the One in whose Hand is my soul, you will not enter Paradise until you are believers."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and he recorded another narration from the same Companion (with these words): "There is no religion for one who has no trustworthiness." Its chain contains a narrator, al-Qasim Abu Abd al-Rahman, and he is da'if (weak) according to most (scholars).

وَعَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا إِيمَانَ لِمَنْ لَا أَمَانَةَ لَهُ ، وَلَا دِينَ لِمَنْ لَا عَهْدَ لَهُ " .
فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ ، وَقَدْ تَقَدَّمَ ، وَفِيهِ حُصَيْنُ بْنُ مَذْعُورٍ عَنْ قُرَيْشٍ التَّمِيمِيِّ ، وَلَمْ أَرَ مَنْ ذَكَرَهُمَا .
فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ ، وَقَدْ تَقَدَّمَ ، وَفِيهِ حُصَيْنُ بْنُ مَذْعُورٍ عَنْ قُرَيْشٍ التَّمِيمِيِّ ، وَلَمْ أَرَ مَنْ ذَكَرَهُمَا .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no faith for one who has no trustworthiness, and there is no religion for one who has no (keeping of) covenant." After this the narrator mentioned the complete hadith, which has already passed. Its chain states that Husayn bin Madh'ur reported it from Quraysh al-Tamimi, and I have not seen anyone mention either of them.
