عَنْ عُمَيْرِ بْنِ قَتَادَةَ أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَيُّ الصَّلَاةِ أَفْضَلُ ؟ قَالَ : " طُولُ الْقُنُوتِ " . قَالَ : أَيُّ الصَّدَقَةِ أَفْضَلُ ؟ قَالَ : " جُهْدُ الْمُقِلِّ " . قَالَ : أَيُّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَكْمَلُ إِيمَانًا ؟ قَالَ : " أَحْسَنُهُمْ خُلُقًا " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ سُوَيْدٌ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ ، اخْتُلِفَ فِي ثِقَتِهِ وَضَعْفِهِ ، وَتَأْتِي أَحَادِيثُ مِنْ هَذَا بَعْدُ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ سُوَيْدٌ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ ، اخْتُلِفَ فِي ثِقَتِهِ وَضَعْفِهِ ، وَتَأْتِي أَحَادِيثُ مِنْ هَذَا بَعْدُ .
Sayyiduna Umayr bin Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) states: A man asked: "O Messenger of Allah! Which prayer is most excellent?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The one with long standing." He asked: "Which charity is most excellent?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "(The charity given) through the effort of one with little means." The man asked: "Among the believers, whose faith is most complete?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The one whose character is best."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, Suwayd Abu Hatim, about whom there is disagreement as to whether he is thiqah (trustworthy) or da'if (weak). Further hadiths through him will come later.

عَنْ جَابِرٍ - رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ - قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " أَكْمَلُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ إِيمَانًا أَحْسَنُهُمْ خُلُقًا " .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَفِيهِ أَبُو أَيُّوبَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ ، وَلَا أَعْرِفُهُ .

Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Among the believers, the one with the most complete faith is the person whose character is best, and through good character a person reaches the rank of prayer and fasting."

رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَقَالَ : لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ إِلَّا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ أَبِي عَبَّادٍ الْقُلْزُمِيُّ ، وَلَمْ أَرَ مَنْ ذَكَرَهُ .

Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Among the believers, the one with the most complete faith is the one whose character is best, those who are gentle and approachable, those who show affection (to others) and are shown affection; and there is no good in the one who neither shows affection nor is shown affection."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat and said: No one narrated it from Muhammad bin Uyaynah except Ya'qub bin Abi Abbad al-Qulzumi. (Allamah al-Haythami says:) And I have not seen anyone who mentioned him.
