وَعَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ حِزَامٍ قَالَ : سَمِعْنَا صَوْتًا وَقَعَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ كَأَنَّهُ صَوْتُ حَصَاةٍ فِي طِسْتٍ ، وَرَمَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - بِتِلْكَ الْحَصَاةِ فَانْهَزَمْنَا . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ .
Sayyiduna Hakim bin Hizam (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: "We heard a sound that came from the sky to the earth, like the sound of a pebble dropped into a basin. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) threw those pebbles, and we were routed."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its chain is hasan (good).
