Amir al-Sha'bi narrates: Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) was asked: "When did you receive the supplication (that is, the supplication granted to you by the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him))?" He said: "On the day of Badr. I was shooting arrows standing in front of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). I fitted an arrow to the bow and then prayed: 'O Allah, shake their feet, cast terror into their hearts, and do this and that to them!' And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'O Allah, accept the supplication of Sa'd!'" (Allamah al-Haythami says: I say: Al-Tirmidhi recorded part of this narration.)
Al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains Mujalid bin Sa'id, who has been declared trustworthy despite his weakness.
