Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: On the day of Badr, Sayyiduna Hamzah (may Allah be pleased with him) and I helped Sayyiduna Ubaydah bin al-Harith (may Allah be pleased with him) against al-Walid bin Utbah. The narrator says: I think he also said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not object to us about that.
Al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains Husayn bin al-Husayn al-Ashqar, whom Ibn Hibban declared thiqah (trustworthy) and the majority declared da'if (weak).
