Sayyiduna Rifa'ah bin Rafi' (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: On the day of Badr the people gathered around Umayyah bin Khalaf, and we came towards him. I saw a piece of his coat of mail that had broken away beneath his armpit, and I thrust my sword into him. On the day of Badr I was also struck by an arrow, which ruined my eye. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) put his saliva into that eye and prayed for me concerning it, and after that I never felt any pain (in that eye).
Al-Bazzar recorded it, and al-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains Abd al-Aziz bin Imran, who is da'if (weak).
