Majma al-Zawaid 9871 — The pledge on Islam known as the pledge

Sayyiduna Ma'qil bin Yasar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to take the pledge of allegiance from women from beneath a cloth (that is, a cloth would be placed between him and the women).
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Attab bin Harb, who is da'if (weak).
