Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 9775

Sayyiduna Makhlad al-Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Three slaves took part in the Battle of Badr with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) used to give each of them one thousand (dirhams) as a stipend.
This narration has been recorded by Imam al-Tabarani. Its chain contains a narrator, Ya'qub bin Humayd, whom the majority declared da'if (weak), while Ibn Hibban and others declared him thiqah (trustworthy).
