وَعَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " إِنِّي لَا أَجِدُ مِنَ الدَّوَابِّ صِنْفًا الدَّابَّةُ الْوَاحِدَةُ مِنْهُ خَيْرٌ مِنْ مِائَةٍ مِنْ صَوَاحِبِهَا غَيْرَ الرَّجُلِ تَجِدُهُ خَيْرًا مِنْ مِائَةِ رَجُلٍ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ وَفِيهِ مَنْ لَمْ أَعْرِفْهُمْ . وَقَدْ تَقَدَّمَتْ فِي كِتَابِ الْإِيمَانِ أَحَادِيثُ مِنْ هَذَا .

Sayyiduna Samurah bin Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Among animals I do not find that one animal of a single kind is better than a hundred animals like it; however, you will find that one man is better than a hundred people."
Al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains narrators whom I do not know. Some hadiths on this subject have already passed in Kitab al-Iman.
