وَعَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " اتْرُكُوا التُّرْكَ مَا تَرَكُوكُمْ فَإِنَّ أَوَّلَ مَنْ يَسْلُبُ أُمَّتِي [ مُلْكَهُمْ وَ ] مَا خَوَّلَهُمُ اللَّهُ ، بَنُو قَنْطُورَاءَ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَفِيهِ مَرْوَانُ بْنُ سَالِمٍ وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Leave the Turks (alone) as long as they leave you alone, for the first one (or the first people) who will strip my Ummah of its rule, and of what Allah Almighty has granted them, will be Banu Qanturah."
Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains Marwan bin Salim, who is matruk (abandoned).
