وَعَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ : " اتْرُكُوا التُّرْكَ مَا تَرَكُوكُمْ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، وَحَدِيثُهُ حَسَنٌ وَفِيهِ ضَعْفٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .

Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah bin Abi Sufyan (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Leave the Turks (alone) as long as they leave you alone."
Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains Ibn Lahi'ah, whose hadith is hasan (good) and there is weakness in him. The rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
