عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ جُنَادَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " إِنَّ شُهَدَاءَ الْبَرِّ أَفْضَلُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ مِنْ شُهَدَاءِ الْبَحْرِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ وَفِيهِ مَنْ لَمْ أَعْرِفْهُمْ .

Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Junadah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The martyrs of the land are more excellent in the sight of Allah Almighty than the martyrs of the sea."
Al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains narrators whom I do not know.
