عَنْ جَابِرٍ يُبَلِّغُ بِهِ قَالَ : " أَفْضَلُ الْجِهَادِ مِنْ عُقِرَ جَوَادُهُ وَأُهَرِيقَ دَمُهُ " .
رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ .

It is transmitted from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that this narration reached
him (the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said): "The most excellent jihad is that of the person whose horse's legs are cut down and whose blood is shed."
Abu Ya'la and al-Tabarani (in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat) recorded it.
