Book of Faith
بَابُ لَا يُقْبَلُ إِيمَانٌ بِلَا عَمَلٍ ، وَلَا عَمَلٌ بِلَا إِيمَانٍ .
Faith is not accepted without deeds, nor deeds without faith

عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ - رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا - قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " لَا يُقْبَلُ إِيمَانٌ بِلَا عَمَلٍ ، وَلَا عَمَلٌ بِلَا إِيمَانٍ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِي إِسْنَادِهِ سَعِيدُ بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا ، وَاخْتُلِفَ فِي ثِقَتِهِ وَجَرْحِهِ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Faith without deeds will not be accepted, nor will deeds without faith be accepted."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, Sa'id bin Zakariyya, about whom there is disagreement as to whether he is thiqah (trustworthy) or criticised.
