Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 9493

Sayyiduna Qurrah bin Iyas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever says the takbir once in a loud voice on the seashore at sunset, Allah Almighty gives him so much reward that for every drop in the sea he receives ten good deeds; He erases ten of his sins and raises him ten degrees, between every two of which is a distance of one hundred years' travel by a swift horse."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains Khalifah bin Humayd. Al-Dhahabi said: It contains majhul (unknown) narrators, and this report is saqit (discarded).
