Abu al-Musabbih narrates: Once we were travelling through the pass of Qalamtah when the commander, Malik bin Abdullah al-Khath'ami, called out loudly to a man who was leading his horse along the mountainside, and said: O Abu Abdullah! Why do you not ride? He said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever's feet become dusty in the path of Allah, both of them will be forbidden to Hell."
Ahmad recorded it through two chains, and Abu Ya'la also recorded it; in one of the two chains his wording is: "for an hour of the day." The narrators of Ahmad in one of the two chains are the narrators of the Sahih, except Abu al-Musabbih, who is thiqah (trustworthy). In the other narration Ahmad also recorded the words: "for an hour of the day."
