Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 9425

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered an expedition to set out. The people said: "O Messenger of Allah! Shall we set out tonight, or stay until the morning and then set out?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Would you not love to spend the night picking the fruits of Paradise?"
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat from his teacher Bakr bin Sahl al-Dimyati. Al-Dhahabi said: He is muqarib al-hadith (his hadith is fair). Al-Nasa'i (may Allah have mercy on him) said: He is da'if (weak). The chain of this narration also contains Ibn Lahi'ah.
