عَنْ ثُمَامَةَ قَالَ : كَانَ أَنَسٌ يَجْلِسُ وَيُطْرَحُ لَهُ فِرَاشٌ وَيَجْلِسُ عَلَيْهِ وَيَرْمِي وَلَدُهُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ، فَخَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا يَوْمًا وَنَحْنُ نَرْمِي فَقَالَ : يَا بَنِيَّ ، بِئْسَ مَا تَرْمُونَ ، ثُمَّ أَخَذَ الْقَوْسَ فَرَمَى فَمَا أَخْطَأَ الْقِرْطَاسَ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .

Thumamah narrates: Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) would sit; a mat would be spread out for him and he would sit on it, and his children would practise archery in front of him. One day he came out to us while we were practising archery. He said: "O my sons! You are shooting badly." Then he took the bow and shot, and he did not miss the target.
