وَعَنْ جَابِرٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - مَرَّ عَلَى قَوْمٍ وَهُمْ يَرْمُونَ فَقَالَ : " ارْمُوا بَنِي إِسْمَاعِيلَ فَإِنَّ أَبَاكُمْ كَانَ رَامِيًا " .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَفِيهِ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ الْمَكِّيُّ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by some people who were practising archery. He said: "O children of Isma'il! Shoot, for your forefather was an archer."
