بَابٌ فِي أَئِمَّةِ الظُّلْمِ وَالْجَوْرِ وَأَئِمَّةِ الضَّلَالَةِ .

وَعَنْ ثَوْبَانَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " أُرِيتُ بَنِي مَرْوَانَ يَتَعَاوَرُونَ مِنْبَرِي فَسَاءَنِي ذَلِكَ ، وَرَأَيْتُ بَنِي الْعَبَّاسِ يَتَعَاوَرُونَ مِنْبَرِي فَسَرَّنِي ذَلِكَ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ زَيْدُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ ، وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ .

Sayyiduna Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "In a dream I was shown Banu Marwan taking turns climbing up and down my pulpit, and that displeased me. Then I saw Banu al-Abbas climbing up and down my pulpit, and that pleased me."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Zayd bin Mu'awiyah, who is matruk (abandoned).
