وَعَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ قَالَ : لَمَّا قُبِضَ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - وَاسْتُخْلِفَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ قِيلَ لَهُ فِي الْحَكَمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْعَاصِي فَقَالَ : مَا كُنْتُ لِأَحُلَّ عُقْدَةً عَقَدَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ حَمَّادُ بْنُ عِيسَى الْعَبْسِيُّ قَالَ الذَّهَبِيُّ : فِيهِ جَهَالَةٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ حَمَّادُ بْنُ عِيسَى الْعَبْسِيُّ قَالَ الذَّهَبِيُّ : فِيهِ جَهَالَةٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away and Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) was made caliph, he was spoken to about al-Hakam bin Abi al-As. He said: "I will not untie a knot that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) has tied."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Hammad bin Isa al-Absi, about whom al-Dhahabi says there is obscurity (jahalah) in him, and the rest of the narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).
