Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: We were sitting with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Sayyiduna Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) had gone to put on (that is, change) his clothes, intending to come and join us. While we were with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A cursed man is about to come in before you." Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) says: By Allah! In my anxiety I kept looking closely at everyone coming and going, until so-and-so came in; he meant al-Hakam.
Ahmad and al-Bazzar recorded it, except that his wording is: "until al-Hakam bin Abi al-As came in."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; the narrators of Ahmad are the narrators of the Sahih.
