Sayyiduna Abu Dharr al-Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I was walking with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "For my Ummah, I fear something other than the Dajjal more." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said this three times. The narrator said: I said: "O Messenger of Allah! What is that, other than the Dajjal, which you fear more for your Ummah?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Misleading rulers."
Ahmad recorded it; its chain contains Ibn Lahi'ah, whose hadith is hasan (good) though there is weakness in him, and the rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
